Families of All Ages in Sheboygan County Rely on the Family Resource Center of Sheboygan County for the Training, Education, and Support They Need to Thrive as a Family Unit .
· Families have questions and are looking for resources to support them in their daily lives. We also find that many more families live away from their relatives and look to their local community for a supportive environment in which to raise their children. The purpose of the Family Resource Center of Sheboygan County (FRC) is ‘to help healthy families stay healthy, help families with questions find answers, and help families who want to share ideas find each other.’
· The Family Resource Center (FRC) is our community’s commitment to strengthening families and provides free and low cost resources on all types of family issues, including parenting, literacy support, drug and alcohol awareness, military family support, and healthy relationships.
· Parenting programs, home visits, parent & child activities, one to one mentoring, a warm-line to call, support groups, lending library, educational training/seminars, information and referral services are just some of the ways the FRC provides support to families in our communities. Annually, the FRC serves over 10,000 + people, fields 4,000 phone calls for information, and offers approximately 200-250 parenting and educational programs and activities for families living in Sheboygan County.
· The Plymouth site of the Family Resource Center of Sheboygan County is bursting at the seams and needs more useable space to provide its many services. The Plymouth Intergenerational Center would assist in meeting that need.
