Development Plans
Preliminary Planning and Research:
Ø A feasibility study was conducted to identify the Coalition's goals, quantify the space requirements, analyze sites, provide schematic site and floor plans, and recommend appropriate building systems.
Ø Community focus groups and business leader interviews were conducted to provide direction for researching possible sites.
Ø A Department of Commerce Planning Grant provided funding for site research.

Securing Land for the Plymouth Intergenerational Center:
Ø A seven-acre land site, with easy access from town or highway, was purchased for new construction.
Ø Resources to purchase came from an anonymous donor who supports our vision.
Ø The Plymouth Intergenerational Center will be located on the corner of Hwy. E and Douglas Drive - close to schools, housing, and 'bridging' the historic downtown and the new development on the east side of town.
Ø A local couple made the purchase possible by negotiating the sale below market price, with terms that PIC could meet.

Resource Development:
Ø The Coalition is working with a local bank to obtain low-rate financing for any portion of the project not funded through donations, pledges, in-kind donations, and/or grants.
Ø The Coalition will continue to serve as the resource development arm to support additional program development for the Center.
Ø With cash flow from monthly rent and annual gifts and grants, this will be a sustainable project and a wonderful asset to the Plymouth/Sheboygan communities.
